The recently announced system is said to generate an insane 60fps of 4520&#215;2540 (11.4 megapixel), 12-bit raw data (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.red.com\/products\/cameras\/redone\/specs.html\">specs<\/a>).  Put that in your hard drive &amp; smoke it (literally).<br \/>\nElsewhere in <i>Tales of the Ginormous<\/i>, a Microsoft researcher is stitching together hundreds of photos to make a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.com.com\/2100-1041_3-6067724.html?part=rss&amp;tag=6067724&amp;subj=news\">4-gigapixel monster<\/a> (with 2.5x bigger on the horizon).  And John Carmack of Doom\/Quake fame is using a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shacknews.com\/extras\/2006\/042806_quakewars_qa_1.x\">5GB &#8220;MegaTexture&#8221;<\/a> to power his next title.
