To give others guidance, he goes into some depth in his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativebush.com\/gmeshtutorial\/\" \/>gradient mesh tutorial<\/a>.  Pretty cool to see that the work <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativebush.com\/gmeshtutorial\/images\/IllustratorScreenSnapz017.jpg\">really is all vector<\/a>.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wizard2.com\/portraits.htm\">Wayne Forrest<\/a> works a similar vein, as does <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arabezier.com\/Gallery.htm\">Halim Ghodbane<\/a>.  And at Deviant Art you can see Ussa Methawittayakul&#8217;s portrait come together <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deviantart.com\/deviation\/26905706\/\" \/>step by step<\/a>.  [<a href=\"http:\/\/basangpanaginip.blogspot.com\/2006\/07\/worlds-most-photorealistic-vector-art.html\">Via<\/a>]<br \/>\nOf course, maybe all these vector women in Illustrator shouldn&#8217;t come as a surprise: as this <a href=\"http:\/\/macintalk.com\/index.php?id=150\">history of Illustrator<\/a> demonstrates, Venus is the OVB: <a href=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/74\/220823735_c83340ac1a_o.jpg\">Original Vector Babe<\/a>. [<a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.macromedia.com\/jd\/archives\/2006\/08\/illustrator_his.cfm\">Via<\/a>]<\/p>\n<li>Belgian illustrator <a href=\"http:\/\/www.illustrator.be\/\" \/>Geert De Clercq<\/a> does terrific technical renderings in vectors, as well as organic images using more traditional materials.
