Freeing up bandwidth to improve these experiences would be great, so I was delighted to learn that our Nest cameras can be scheduled to stop\/start streaming video up to the cloud. From the Google <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/googlenest\/answer\/9245832\">help center<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/nest.com\/support\/article\/How-do-I-change-the-quality-of-my-Nest-Cam-s-video-to-save-bandwidth\">Lower the setting<\/a>&nbsp;so that your camera isn\u2019t using as much data to stream video to the cloud.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/nest.com\/support\/article\/How-do-I-schedule-my-Nest-Cam-feed-to-turn-itself-on-off\">Schedule your camera to turn off at certain times<\/a>, particularly if you have a Nest Aware subscription, so your camera isn\u2019t constantly uploading video to the Nest service.
