{"id":12389,"date":"2007-06-11T13:59:17","date_gmt":"2007-06-11T13:59:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnackdev\/2007\/06\/how-should-photoshop-play-with-flashflex.html"},"modified":"2007-06-11T13:59:17","modified_gmt":"2007-06-11T13:59:17","slug":"how_should_photoshop_play_with_flashflex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/2007\/06\/11\/how_should_photoshop_play_with_flashflex\/","title":{"rendered":"How should Photoshop play with Flash\/Flex?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we&#8217;ve gotten CS3 out the door &amp; made a big leap <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnack\/files\/images\/ps_into_flash.jpg\">getting Photoshop files into Flash<\/a>, we can turn more fully to the future.&#160; So, where do we go from here?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not that we don&#8217;t have ideas, mind you; on the contrary, we have so many ideas that we need to stage a battle royale, then make &#8217;em fight it out.&#160; I  have some pretty aggressive ideas, but I don&#8217;t want to &#8220;lead the witness&#8221; by sharing them before asking for your thoughts. <\/p>\n<p>In my mind our goals fall into two areas:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u>Speed up the visual design<\/u> of Flash and Flex projects\/components<\/li>\n<li><u>Smooth out the hand-off<\/u> from design to development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Or, to put it even more simply, <em>&#8220;Design quickly, transfer smoothly.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What do you think?&#160; As you&#8217;re working with Photoshop and Flash and\/or Flex, where do you run into snags, lose time?&#160; In your ideal world, how would everything work?&#160; I&#8217;m looking forward to hearing your thoughts. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<br \/>\nJ.\n<\/p>\n<p><i><b>[Commenting was broken earlier due to a problem with the server, but it&#8217;s now working again.
