[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.core77.com\/blog\/object_culture\/mark_coleran_designer_of_imaginary_interfaces_6578.asp\">Via<\/a>]&#160; Mark&#8217;s work reminds me of <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnack\/2005\/10\/behind_the_scen.html\">the time<\/a> we visited the set of one of the <em>CSI<\/em> shows and met the folks responsible for those <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/director\/\">Director<\/a>-powered graphics&#8211;you know, the ones that convince average viewers that computers can read <em>The Iliad<\/em> reflected off the head of a pin.&#160; Thanks a <em>lot<\/em> for that, guys. \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile the interface of the iPhone I picked up on Saturday remains a  completely imaginary one: thanks to AT&amp;T, I can&#8217;t activate the damn thing with my corporate cell number, which means I can&#8217;t get past the welcome screen.&#160; <em>Note to self:<\/em> the whole sequence of\n<ol>\n<li>Get all excited, buy lovely, seductive gizmo<\/li>\n<li>Figure out whether said gizmo can actually be used with phone number, work email, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>should actually be reversed.&#160; Gah. This would be that bleeding edge I&#8217;ve heard so much about.
