Two-Minute Papers shows how NVIDIA&#8217;s StyleGAN research (which underlies Photoshop&#8217;s Smart Portrait Neural Filter) has been evolving, recently being upgraded with Alias-Free GAN (which very nicely reduces funky artifacts\u2014e.g. a &#8220;sticky beard&#8221; and &#8220;boiling&#8221; regions (hair, etc.):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/0zaGYLPj4Kk\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Side note: I continue to find the presenter&#8217;s enthusiasm utterly infectious: &#8220;Imagine saying that to someone 20 years ago.
