Android &#8220;intents&#8221; enables this (e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/mobile.photoshop.com\/android\/developers.html\">in Photoshop Express<\/a>), and it sounds like <a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/linked\/2011\/09\/15\/ihnatko\">Windows Metro &#8220;contacts&#8221;<\/a> are similar.  On iOS this has been more problematic. From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iphoneography.com\/journal\/2011\/9\/1\/press-release-iphone-app-developers-create-solution-to-simpl.html\">iPhoneography<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[G]etting an image from one app to the next is tedious. When switching apps the user must save the edited image to the camera roll, quit the current app, launch the next and then load up the intermediate image before continuing to edit it.<br \/>\nSo a group of app developers got together and found a way to solve this problem with PhotoAppLink:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"425\" height=\"216\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2fCMVHohgGo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nI can&#8217;t make any commitments on behalf of Adobe apps, but I certainly find this development interesting &#038; encouraging.
