I wanted to see how Google Photos would handle the same set of images.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>I dragged the folder of photos into Google Drive (think Dropbox, in case you haven\u2019t used it), which I\u2019d linked to my Google Plus account. A little while later I got a message on my phone to check out the Auto Awesome photos that had been created. In the first example Google removed the moving objects, then enhanced the color and tone of the resulting image:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fountain-Eraser.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Fountain-Eraser.jpg\" alt=\"Fountain Eraser\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>This was entirely automatic: I did nothing more than back up my photos to the system. It also built an animation from the frames:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"IMG_7024-MOTION.gif\" src=\"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/IMG_7024-MOTION.gif\" alt=\"IMG 7024 MOTION\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>Pretty slick, eh?<\/p>\n<p>I find this all deeply exciting.
