I find myself sharing these with lots of friends &amp; family with whom I otherwise wouldn\u2019t connect. Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n<p>Google Photos will now ask whether you\u2019d like to see memories past days. If you say yes, you\u2019ll start receiving Assistant cards containing collages like this one, and tapping them will take you to galleries (<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/photos\/kP12n8xiz8d2XBaw5\">example<\/a>) that you can share with just a tap or two.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Collage.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Collage1.jpg\" alt=\"Collage\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>TechCrunch <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2015\/08\/20\/google-photos-introduces-rediscover-this-day-to-help-you-reminisce\/\">writes<\/a>,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s kind of like Timehop and Facebook\u2019s memories \u2014 but not really. It won\u2019t bother you daily unless you had a worthwhile group of photos to show you. [\u2026]<\/p>\n<p>[PM Chris Perry says] &#8220;Visual quality of photos is taken into account. No screenshots. We\u2019ll look at photos taken over a longer timespan, something that was more of an \u2018event.&#8217; Something that\u2019s going to emotionally resonate. We look at the presence of landmarks. Those get promoted to collages.
