Back when we shipped Bridge in 2005, photographers were <em>extraordinarily<\/em> pissed. They <em>hated<\/em>\u00a0the presence of royalty-free stock search in that app. They saw Adobe as making them purchase &amp; underwrite the seeds of their livelihoods\u2019 destruction. They weren\u2019t wrong, though that first incarnation of Adobe Stock Photos cratered with barely a whimper.<\/p>\n<p>Cut to 2016, Adobe has <a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2014\/12\/11\/adobe-is-buying-stock-photo-giant-fotolia\/\">spent $800 million<\/a> buying a stock photo provider (about which no one made a <em>peep<\/em>), and now A) you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/helpx.adobe.com\/bridge\/using\/publish-images-adobe-stock-contributor.html\">upload your own photos<\/a>\u00a0to Adobe Stock right within Bridge, and B)\u00a0you can search for stock photos\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/petapixel.com\/2016\/11\/02\/reuters-teams-adobe-add-photo-library-adobe-stock\/\">now including those from Reuters<\/a>\u2014right within Photoshop proper (something I tried to enable in Mini Bridge).<\/p>\n<p>What does all this mean?
