I remember sitting in the living room with my dad watching Harry Caray call <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/HXizF4nwZKM\">Rick Sutcliffe\u2019s winning pitch<\/a>\u00a0on WGN. <em>Holy Cow!!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Cubs proceeded to take a two-games-to-none lead in the best-of-five series with the San Diego Padres. No problem! Just win one game\u2014one of three!\u2014and they were through to the Series. Then\u2026 then they went full-on Cub, and during that fateful game 5 my cousin Andy &amp; I headed upstairs to play Lego boats in the tub while the team blew their lead, the series, their shot. I just couldn\u2019t take it.<\/p>\n<p>And then\u2026 this past Wednesday. You know what happened. We went insane.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll be honest, though, and confess just a little melancholy. It\u2019s not 1984, and I\u2019m not a kid watching the game with my dad. I\u2019m thrilled for the team, but I can still tell you more players\u2019 names from \u201984 than from \u201916. I\u2019ve long lived in California and won\u2019t tell you I follow the game or the team as I once did. The victory is great\u2014amazing!\u2014but\u2026 you can\u2019t quite go home again.<\/p>\n<p>Ah, but what if you <em>could<\/em>, just a little? Thanks to some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/mlb\/la-sp-cubs-harry-caray-20161104-story.html\">clever &amp; lightning-fast editing<\/a>, Budweiser brought back to life that iconic voice of my youth, Harry \u201cCub fan, Bud man\u201d Caray. Just watch. I can\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nApTGkLd2hs\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/nApTGkLd2hs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And Harry, wherever you are, thanks.
