{"id":768,"date":"2014-06-03T09:16:30","date_gmt":"2014-06-03T16:16:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/?p=768"},"modified":"2014-06-03T09:16:30","modified_gmt":"2014-06-03T16:16:30","slug":"instagram-adds-sliders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/03\/instagram-adds-sliders\/","title":{"rendered":"Instagram adds sliders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For years at Adobe I\u2019d joke, \u201cIf we\u2019d come up with the idea for Instagram, we still wouldn\u2019t have shipped it, because we\u2019d still be debating, \u2018Hmm\u2014do you think we need 16 sliders per filter\u2026 or is it more like 32?\u2019 The idea of <em>no sliders at all<\/em> (which makes people feel more confident, because you can\u2019t feel too responsible for getting things really \u2018right.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, there goes that joke: Instagram 6.0 (coming out today) adds the ability to <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2014\/06\/03\/instagram-effects\/\">fade filters plus make 9 or so adjustments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If the new effects feel a bit buried in the editing flow, that\u2019s the point.
