Type materializes, swirls, and explodes in this Audi “Filter” spot. The making-of piece makes one appreciate the enormous labor that goes into even a short piece.
Nico Casavecchia’s La Mancha uses type to beckon viewers to “the Spain of Don Quixote.” (Man do I wish I could speak Spanish in that voice; I could really irritate the family.)

The Audi advert is very interesting. It clearly took an immense amount of work (and money) to make it, but to be honest I was disappointed with it.
Then I watched the making of video, and the version at the end of it with a different music track – it sounds like a sort of alphabetic a capella track – was far better. Strange how that style of music brings out the meaning of the images, but it just works for me in a way the more new age music completely failed to do.
