I am often extracting logos and want to create a new AI file with an artboard of the same dimensions as the clipboard item.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It turns out you can paste an image into Illustrator, then double-click the pasted image using the Artboard Tool. That&#8217;ll automatically create the art board at that size.
