I didn&#8217;t realize, though, that Kodak has been in the custom-photo-thing-you-can-mail business for some 100 years.  The Morning News <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themorningnews.org\/archives\/galleries\/real_photo_postcards.php\">features an article<\/a> about the &#8220;real photo postcards&#8221; craze (c.1907) brought about by the introduction of a preprinted card back that allowed postcards to be made directly from negatives.  The accompanying <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themorningnews.org\/archives\/galleries\/postcards\/index.html\">gallery<\/a> features some beautiful, ethereal images, and I like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themorningnews.org\/archives\/galleries\/postcards\/05.html\">this weirdo&#8217;s<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.themorningnews.org\/archives\/galleries\/postcards\/06.html\">sense of humor<\/a>.
