The renderings have a certain Chuck Close quality to them (&lt;a href=<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnack\/files\/images\/C_and_A.html\">right?<\/a>), and they show off sponsor Getty&#8217;s collection in a great light. [Via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.markkawano.com\/\" \/>Mark Kawano<\/a>]  See also the other components of the <a href=\"http:\/\/interact10ways.com\/usa\/home.asp\">10 ways project<\/a>.<br \/>\nI also happened across some of Jim Bumgardner&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/krazydad\/sets\/874417\/\" \/>mosaic portraits<\/a> built from Flickr tags, the makings of which are covered in his book <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0596102453\/ref=ase_krazydad-20\/103-8427799-8475814?s=books&amp;v=glance&amp;n=283155&amp;tagActionCode=krazydad-20\">Flickr Hacks<\/a><\/i>.  I like the efforts to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/krazydad\/sets\/140323\/\" \/>plot photos according to time<\/a>.  (Some of the visuals remind me of the graphical depictions of one&#8217;s own DNA available from <a href=\"http:\/\/dna11.com\/\" \/>various<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dna-artistry.com\/\" \/>companies<\/a>.)<br \/>\nFor a mosaic of another sort, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/photos\/ss\/441\/im:\/060525\/481\/bej80105250912;_ylt=AgwBOPw2IE4SZZy2l1WkAFlsaMYA;_ylu=X3oDMTA5bGcyMWMzBHNlYwNzc25hdg--?sp=-1&amp;lsp=6000\"><i>Technology Smiling<\/i><\/a>, a rendering of the Mona Lisa done in computer parts. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boingboing.net\/2006\/05\/26\/mona_lisa_made_from_.html\">Via<\/a>]<br \/>\nAnd elsewhere in the world of visualization, Sala at Aharef.info has posted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aharef.info\/2006\/05\/websites_as_graphs.htm\">graphical views of Web site tags<\/a>.   I&#8217;m not entirely sure how to interpret the results, but they&#8217;re easy on the eyes.
