Someone&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnack\/2005\/11\/pringles_can_macro.html\">been there, done that.<\/a>  A pinhole camera made from an airplane hanger?  Sorry&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pdnonline.com\/pdn\/newswire\/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002502150\">beaten to the punch<\/a>.  So how&#8217;s an enterprising photo geek to distinguish himself?  How about taking photos through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whistlestopgallery.org\/Matthew_Wheeler.htm\">a lens made of ice<\/a>?  Evidently unimpressed with Scientific American&#8217;s challenge to light a fire with a lens made entirely of ice, photographer Matthew Wheeler fashioned his own very cold lenses and has posted a gallery of images.  I couldn&#8217;t find a demonstration or other info on the gear used, but some googling did turn up an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.exn.ca\/Stories\/2003\/04\/04\/54.asp\">article and video<\/a> depicting the &#8220;excruciatingly painful&#8221; lens-making process.
