{"id":11250,"date":"2006-10-26T06:48:39","date_gmt":"2006-10-26T06:48:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnackdev\/2006\/10\/introducing-adobe-soundbooth-now-on-labs.html"},"modified":"2006-10-26T06:48:39","modified_gmt":"2006-10-26T06:48:39","slug":"introducing_adobe_soundbooth_now_on_labs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/2006\/10\/26\/introducing_adobe_soundbooth_now_on_labs\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing Adobe Soundbooth, now on Labs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sneak-previewed on Tuesday at the Adobe MAX show, the new audio-editing application <a href=\"http:\/\/labs.adobe.com\/technologies\/soundbooth\/\">Adobe Soundbooth<\/a> is available in beta form on the Labs Web site.&#160; &quot;Built in the spirit of Sound Edit 16&quot; (my trusty, lightweight sidekick for many years), Soundbooth is geared towards: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Editing audio quickly<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning up noisy audio\n<\/li>\n<li>Visually identifying and removing unwanted sounds\n<\/li>\n<li>Recording and polishing voiceovers\n<\/li>\n<li>Adding effects and filters\n<\/li>\n<li>Easily creating customized music\u2014without musical expertise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a professional application, but it&#8217;s simpler and more streamlined than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/audition\/\">Audition<\/a>, Adobe&#8217;s tool for audio professionals. In other words, it&#8217;s the kind of thing a Flash developer can grab and start using immediately.&#160; Soundbooth PM Hart Shafer has <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/hartshafer\/2006\/10\/introducing_ado.html\">posted his intro<\/a>, and there&#8217;s also a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/aboutadobe\/pressroom\/pressreleases\/200610\/102606Soundbooth.html\">press release<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>By the way, note that in addition to supporting Windows, it runs on the Mac.&#160; Intel-natively.&#160; (And so does <a href=\"http:\/\/home.businesswire.com\/portal\/site\/google\/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20061024006329&amp;newsLang=en\">Flex Builder<\/a>, for that matter.)
