{"id":11386,"date":"2007-01-29T03:59:34","date_gmt":"2007-01-29T03:59:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnackdev\/2007\/01\/adobe-photoshop-lightroom-1-0-goes-primetime.html"},"modified":"2007-01-29T03:59:34","modified_gmt":"2007-01-29T03:59:34","slug":"adobe_photoshop_lightroom_1_0_goes_primeti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jnack.com\/blog\/2007\/01\/29\/adobe_photoshop_lightroom_1_0_goes_primeti\/","title":{"rendered":"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 goes primetime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a tremendously successful beta program that saw more than <strong>1.4 million<\/strong> downloads from Adobe Labs, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/aboutadobe\/pressroom\/pressreleases\/200701\/012907Lightroom.html\">officially announced<\/a>.&#160; The press release lists a number of new features and improvements added since the most recent beta drop, and a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adobe.com\/products\/photoshoplightroom\/\">product page<\/a> includes a tour and more details.<\/p>\n<p>Some details:    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lightroom 1.0 will be sold for $299 USD.&#160; We recognize the investment users have made in Adobe tools, including the time invested by the more than 500,000 people who downloaded the beta.&#160; To say thanks, Adobe<br \/>\nwill be offering a one time introductory price of $199 that ends April 30th.  <\/li>\n<li>It will not be bundled or packaged with Photoshop CS3 or the Creative Suite.<\/li>\n<li>French and German versions of Lightroom 1.0 will be available at the end<br \/>\nof February.&#160; Introductory price of 174 Euros until June 28th, after which the standard pricing<br \/>\n249 Euros.<\/li>\n<li>A Japanese version will be available at the end of<br \/>\nMarch.&#160; Introductory pricing of 22,000 Yen runs until July 23rd, after which the app costs 32,000 Yen. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also, Lightroom PM Tom Hogarty reports that the new version includes preliminary support for PhaseOne camera backs. <\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the release, the NAPP has <a href=\"http:\/\/home.businesswire.com\/portal\/site\/google\/index.jsp?ndmViewId=news_view&amp;newsId=20070128005070&amp;newsLang=en\">announced<\/a> a new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.photoshopuser.com\/lightroom\/index.html\">Lightroom learning center<\/a>, and I see that Uwe Steinmueller has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.outbackphoto.com\/artofraw\/raw_31\/essay.html\">posted a review<\/a>.&#160; I&#8217;ll try to link to additional resources as I get time online.&#160; Feel free to list good ones you find via the comments.     <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a tremendously successful beta program that saw more than 1.4 million downloads from Adobe Labs, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 has been officially announced.&#160; The press release lists a number of new features and improvements added since the most recent beta drop, and a new product page includes a tour and more details.
