[Via Tom Hogarty]<\/li>\n<li>On a more precompiled note, how about a &quot;Brutality Filter&quot;?&#160; New Mr. Retro filters are available (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativepro.com\/story\/news\/25802.html?cprose=daily\">press release<\/a>).&#160; See &#8217;em in action <a href=\"http:\/\/www.misterretro.com\/machine_wash_filters_four.html\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Photo blogger Jason David Moore  recently <a href=\"http:\/\/jasondavidmoore.blogspot.com\/2007\/08\/p-blogger-profile-john-nack.html\">profiled me<\/a>. (I didn&#8217;t even know I <em>had<\/em> a favorite curse word.) <\/li>\n<li>The World&#8217;s Best Logos &amp; Brands blog has a (very) <a href=\"http:\/\/worldsbestlogos.blogspot.com\/2007\/08\/adobe-systems-logo-history.html\">short history of the Adobe logo<\/a>. [<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.digitalbackcountry.com\/?p=979\">Via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re stumped, give the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tdbspecialprojects.com\/\">Idea Generator<\/a>&#160;a spin.&#160; Seriously, wouldn&#8217;t you like to see a Transparent Morphing Saxophone?  (Goes well with the Brutality Filter, I&#8217;m told.) [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.core77.com\/blog\/object_culture\/idea_generator_7188.asp\">Via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m keeping it Victorian these days, but I can dig this MIT-designed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.core77.com\/blog\/object_culture\/waterwalled_house_7163.asp\">water-walled house<\/a>.&#160; On a slightly related note, researchers are also exploring how to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.core77.com\/blog\/object_culture\/insulating_windows_with_water_7133.asp\">use water as insulation<\/a> within windows. <\/li>\n<li>Of Audis &amp; iMacs: The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conceptcar.co.uk\/news\/cardesignnews.php?newsid=84\">ConceptCar<\/a> blog notes similarities between the new iMac design &amp; the latest crop of Audis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/box.net\/apps\">Box.net<\/a> has created a plug-in that facilitates sharing large images right from Photoshop.&#160; Their slogan?&#160; &quot;Put your junk in the box.&quot; (I kid you not.)<\/li>\n<li>Ars Technica features <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/journals\/apple.ars\/2007\/08\/08\/on-treating-your-laptop-ipod-and-iphone-batteries-right\">info on battery life preservation<\/a>&#8211;relevant to everyone who schleps around one or more rechargable devices (which, I&#8217;m guessing, is everyone who stops by here).&#160; I&#8217;m paranoid about being without power, but I&#8217;ll be damned if I run my batteries down &amp; store them in a freezer.&#160; (&quot;Nothing more useless than an unloaded gun.&quot;)  [<a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.macromedia.com\/jd\/archives\/2007\/08\/apple_battery_r.cfm\">Via<\/a>]<\/li>\n<li>News.com <a href=\"http:\/\/news.com.com\/The+subway+tunnel+as+video+billboard\/2100-1024-6173720.html?part=dht&amp;tag=nl.e433\">reports<\/a> on companies that put image sequences on subway walls.
