[Via Jeff Tranberry]<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">&#160;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0;margin-bottom: 0\">The work builds upon research by Adobe&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/agarwala.org\/\">Aseem Agarwala<\/a> (who was instrumental in bringing Auto-Blend to Photoshop CS3).&#160; Adobe Senior Principal Scientist (and UW prof.) <a href=\"http:\/\/salesin.cs.washington.edu\/\">David Salesin<\/a> is helping facilitate more collaboration between Adobe teams &amp; academia, recruiting full-time hires like Aseem &amp; sponsoring visiting researchers like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/wgbh\/nova\/sciencenow\/0301\/03.html\">Hany Farid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>(Note: As always, please don&#8217;t take my mentioning of various tech demos as a hint about any specific feature showing up in a particular Adobe product.
