That&#8217;s a pretty incredible accomplishment*.  In addition, Wojciech Matusik has been selected as this year\u2019s recipient of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.siggraph.org\/programs\/awards\/index_html\">ACM SIGGRAPH Significant New Research Award<\/a>.  Congrats, guys!<br \/>\nThe company has been making significant investments &amp; <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.adobe.com\/jnack\/2007\/08\/imaging_heavy_h.html\">attracting top talent<\/a> in this area in recent years, and it&#8217;s great to see those efforts bearing fruit.  It&#8217;ll be even better when we start harvesting more of this research as real-world features in Photoshop and other apps&#8211;and believe me, we&#8217;re working to do just that.<br \/>\n<i>* By way of comparison, Microsoft had 6 papers accepted this year (vs. Adobe&#8217;s 17).
