(Today&#8217;s setups&#8211;e.g. setting up a portable hotspot while on the go&#8211;are too <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbandictionary.com\/define.php?term=neckbeard\">neckbeard<\/a>-a-riffic to get mass adoption.) \u00a0The customer demand is so strong that I&#8217;ve assumed that a bunch of hardware manufacturers have been working on solutions.  Now I see that the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wi-Fi_Direct\">Wi-Fi Direct<\/a> spec is apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informationweek.com\/news\/infrastructure\/remote_access\/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=227900741&amp;itc=ref-true\">inching its way<\/a> towards shipping products. \u00a0I&#8217;m eager to see what results.
