For reference, here are some of the statements I&#8217;ve been seeing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>ArtStation has posted guidance on &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/help.artstation.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/11451085663501-AI-Artwork-on-ArtStation\">Use of AI Software on ArtStation<\/a>.&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>Projects tagged using \u201cNoAI\u201d will automatically be assigned an HTML \u201cNoAI\u201d meta tag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Projects won&#8217;t be assigned this tag automatically, as the site wants creators to choose whether or not their work is eligible for use in training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kickstarter has shared &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/updates.kickstarter.com\/ai-current-thinking\/\">Our Current Thinking on the Use of AI-Generated Image Software and AI Art.<\/a>&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Kickstarter must, and will always be, on the side of creative work and the humans behind that work. We\u2019re here to help creative work thrive.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Key questions they&#8217;ll ask include &#8220;Is a project copying or mimicking an artist\u2019s work?&#8221; and &#8220;Does a project exploit a particular community or put anyone at risk of harm?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From 3dtotal Publishing:\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;3dtotal has four fundamental goals. One of them is to support and help the artistic community, so we cannot support AI art tools as we feel they hurt this community.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clipstudio.net\/en\/news\/202212\/02_01\/\">Clip Studio Paint will no longer implement an image generator function<\/a>:\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;We received a lot of feedback from the community and will no longer implement the image generator palette.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They &#8220;fear that this will make Clip Studio Paint artwork synonymous with AI-generated work&#8221; and are choosing to prioritize other features.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Society of Illustrators has shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CmcFlN3pHMk\/\">their thoughts<\/a>:\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;We oppose the commercial use of Artificially manufactured images and will not allow AI into our annual competitions at all levels.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;AI was trained using copyrighted images.
