Troubles in the VFX industry yielded a windfall of imaging talent for Google (which occupies the former LA office of Rhythm &amp; Hues, FWIW), and we had a real murderer\u2019s row of talent from DreamWorks, PDI, Sony, and other shops. (There\u2019s so much potential yet to realize\u2026 but I digress.)<\/p>\n<p>I mention it because I happened across a fun <a href=\"https:\/\/vfxblog.com\/2017\/08\/23\/the-tech-of-terminator-2-an-oral-history\/\">oral history of Terminator 2\u2019s technology<\/a>, featuring interesting recollections from John &amp; the team (which, I&#8217;m very belatedly realizing, included longtime After Effects engineer turned <a href=\"https:\/\/herbivoracious.com\/\">chef\/blogger<\/a> (!) Michael Natkin).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d point to a page and say, \u2018Oh, well that looks interesting.
