The Campus Life Council expressed disappointment last night in Patricia O'Hara's response to their demand for $50,000 and a night with MTV supermodel Jenny McCarthy.
"We are disappointed in the result," said Student Body President Matt Griffin.
The response came after the council submitted its resolution to interpret du Lac as a "mission statement effectively handing control of the University over to Matt Griffin and the Campus Life Council." O'Hara responded to the group in a profane voice-mail message dated September 26, reiterating the purpose of the CLC.
"The Campus Life Council was created by the Board of Trustees to give young alumni the impression that we are in touch with today's students", she wrote. "I think the Campus Life Council exceeds its purview when it requests cash and prostitution from the administration."
Morrissey Hall senator Matt Szabo expressed his dismay with O'Hara's interpretation of the response. "We did not request prostitution from the administration. We had no intention of paying anyone any money."
Matt Griffin added, "The Campus Life Council reserves the right to interpret any of our interpretations of administration policy."
When Erek Nass was reached for comment, he expressed shock and dismay concerning his status as Student Body Vice President. "Nobody ever told me nothin'," Nass remarked.
In memory of the death of beloved Indiana comedian and mime Red Skelton this past month, WSND-FM has announced an hour of pantomime every week on the Nate Dog and Ferguson broadcast.
"It's really sad when somebody from Indiana dies," said Ferguson.
The hour will be funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and will feature actors from the London Stage performing such chestnuts as "Man Trapped In A Glass Box," "Walking A Dog On A Windy Day," and "Man Trapped In A Glass Box."
Nate Rackiewicz will provide informative commentary on the phone to Jason Zimbler, who will relate the comments to the Michiana community. "The phone is what makes it funny," said Rackiewicz.
When reached for comment, Nocturne Director Lisa McDonald expressed her approval for the project. "This is the kind of programming that all humorless people like myself can enjoy," said McDonald.
News Director Devon Walsh added, "I haven't been this excited since Matt Griffin said he might consider appearing on my show in the distant future." Matt Griffin could not be reached for comment.
The Campus Life Council expressed disappointment last night in Patricia O'Hara's response to their demand for a multicultural event requiring $50,000 and a night with MTV supermodel Jenny McCarthy.
"The presence of a black Papa John's delivery man is not sufficient," remarked O'Hara.
When reached for comment, Student Body Vice President Erek Nass remarked, "Hey, Matt told me you guys were kidding about the O'Hara thing."
