First, I would like to thank all of my friends who e-mailed me every time my column came out. That was, like, so nice of you guys, and to coin a phrase, "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold." I didn't make any new friends this year, but I kept most of the old (sorry, Becky). For truly, a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Also I would like to thank those unknown souls I have never met who e-mailed me to respond to my column, even if you did not agree with me, even if I did not agree with myself. Although your comments were violative of the edict, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," you made me laugh when you complained about how truly awful my column is, because we all know that you shouldn't dish it out if you can't take it in. Besides, as it has been said, guns don't kill people. People do (sorry, Becky).
In closing, I would like to congratulate all of you who gave me the attention I so richly deserve. I don't think that I can take it, but it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again. For time flies, we really hit one out of the park, April showers bring May flowers, you can't take it with you, and in the end, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And it's been said before, but I'll say it again and again and again and again: Guns don't kill people. People do. What have you done to promote homosexuality today?
