The Inquisition would like to welcome Mary Beth Ellis to our staff.
Ellis, 26, hails from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and is a senior at Bethel College with a major in ranting and a concentration in raving. Ellis comes to us from the South Bend Tribune, where her Saturday Diary entertained and informed Michiana residents since 1985.
Ms. Ellis won a Michiana Journalism award for her touching piece about financial advisor Bob Cooper's "Make Your Money Count" speech at Barnes & Noble. She also received an honorable mention for her promotion of the bake sale to benefit the Shipshewana Lions Club.
Ellis credits her inherent newsiness to her aunt, WNDU-TV gardening expert Marthann Masterson.
Among the coveted perks would be entree unto the Shamrock-painted Ubervan. In addition to gathering stories on the important issues of the day, Ellis will also protect Michiana against crime as Dynagirl. Ms. Ellis' exact powers and responsibilities are undetermined while licensing arrangements with Sid and Marty Krofft are finalized.
