The Photoshop team has just made a Photoshop CS6 update (13.0.5 for Mac, 13.0.1.2 for Win) available for perpetual-license customer (non-Creative Cloud subscribers). It addresses a small number of bugs on each platform. CC members can sit tight: Photoshop CC will be released on June 17th and will include any fixes that aren’t already in the current version (13.1.2) along along with all the new features.
You’d think people would be excited about news of a Photoshop update. Oh, wait, that was back in the old days.
Isn’t the big thing about CC that users get the updates first/quickest and more regularly?
I subscribed to CC and I got the 13.1.x update for CS6, but my laptop has 13.0.x.x. Can someone tell me how to get the 13.1 on my laptop?
Terry, I don’t think there is a 13.1 for CS6. The one released this week for CS6 is 13.05. Check what version your updated desktop has. I think that in spite of the updater saying 13.1 you will find your desktop has 13.05.
In any case, if CC updating worked for your desktop, it should work for your laptop.
13.0.5 is also on Adobe’s website. I always go there and then I have the update if I need it in the future.
