I love some of the fast, Street View-like transitions. Would someone smart please explain how they get the effect of having a camera attached to the car not show the connecting rod?

The fabulous Cycore had wire and rig removal tools in their first AE plug-in package, in approximately 1876 (or whenever AE 2.0 shipped).
What am I missing here? Why isn’t the answer to John’s question that the connecting rod is in back of the lens?
Is it too much to hope that John will be inspired to duplicate some of these stunts in his hybrid Pinto?
interesting thought the frame doesn’t quite go south enough to rule that out.
The side camera might have seen action in a separate filming. You will notice that it’s never in play for long moments.
