GridIron Flow now shipping

It was my pleasure to help the GridIron Software folks officially launch Flow this morning. I got to reveal a previously unannounced feature that’s dear to my heart: Flash panels (screenshot) that run inside CS4 applications*, offering immediate context for your file (what files went into it, what files are derived from it, how long you’ve spent working on it, etc.).
If you haven’t seen Flow, check out this 2-minute overview:

For a deeper dive, Dave Cross from PhotoshopUser TV & Layers Magazine has created a solid 10-minute tour that shows the Flash panels in action (also available on Vimeo).
A single-user license for GridIron Flow is $299, and a three-user license costs $399, via the GridIron store. [Update: Use promo code “NACKONADOBE” to save $50.]

  1. Looks seriously great, and this integration piece really helps! The 3 user license is not a bad deal either… how well does this work across a Windows Domain server? My workgroup would need about 12-15 licenses, so a true volume pricing model would also be appreciated.

  2. I thought it was a great looking product, but last I saw, it did not support workgroups well. We had issues with the inability to share the flow db across computers/servers. I think this is a good fit for a small creative group though.

  3. It’s a brilliant piece of work. I’ve been on the beta since close to the beginning, and the evolution has been amazing. Flow does, definitely, transform how we work.
It’s one of those game-changers that comes along once in long while. (Like, say, Photoshop.)
