Feedback, please: How do you want to work?

Let’s build you some better tools:

The Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator teams need your help! We’ve been thinking about some ideas that could benefit all of our customers, but before we can move forward with these ideas we need to know more about how you, our customers, are working with our products now.

We have prepared a short questionnaire (should take less than 5 minutes) that will help us gather the information we need to get started. We would greatly appreciate your time in helping us by filling it out! As a special thank you, you’ll be eligible for a $50 Amazon Gift Card for taking the survey!

  1. The usual questionnaire design issues: Question 29’s options are not exhaustive, so some people will need to make up answers. Not having an “Other” option is almost always indicative of poor questionnaire design.
It is also not short. It’s, honestly, a long questionnaire, especially given that some of the questions are difficult to answer (e.g., those concerning usage frequencies, or the poorly designed question 29 that’s impossible to answer for some people).

    1. Thanks for the insight, Ambrose. Your thoughtful and thorough comments about these application features will surely benefit all users.

  2. Worth mentioning: the first page does ask for name etc (not optional) for the sweepstake. Completely irrelevant though, as you will be asked again at the end. Also, only valid for people in the US.
[If someone wins who cannot use the card at Amazon.com in their country, we will be more than happy to give them an equivalent prize that they can use. –J.]

  3. There’s 32 Questions in there. In my case, it took 8 minutes, but i skipped over the first five (name, contact details…).
Sidenote: You have your own checkbox in question 32 😀

  4. Hi Claudius,
Glad you posted something of importance, to you…
and no problem; many people are embarrassed to acknowledge their reality. Cowards I guess.
    Incidentally, my email is scott@dnasilicon.com
but you will probably appear, if at all, in the junk folder.

  5. I was hoping to tell this survey that I want the photoshop keyboard commands back from CS3 but such is not the case.

      1. As far as I know there is no way to restore the keyboard shortcuts (from CS3) to select the points in the curves dialog box.
