I’ve now gotten threaded commenting enabled, so it’s possible to reply to a specific comment & have your remarks appear right below the target comment. (Here’s an example.) I haven’t gotten to fool with any formatting options, so suggestions from CSS/Movable Type ninjas is more welcome. Thanks to Pavel Ushakov from Firmdot for getting me this far.
I’ve started experimenting with Twitterfeed, using it to auto-tweet titles & links when I post an entry here. I’m still finding my way, so I hope you find this practice useful, not obnoxious. Comments & suggestions are always welcome.

In my opinion a twitterfeed of a blog is not a good thing. If someone what to have the newest infos from a blog he would use RSS.
I tried a twitterfeed with my blog and received this feedback.
In my opinion the other way (show tweets in the blog) is ok. [Interestingly enough, I got just the opposite feedback from others (i.e. that it’s okay to mention your blog posts in your Twitter feed, but not to turn your tweets into blog posts). I dunno; it seems unlikely I’ll be able to please everyone, but I do appreciate the perspective. –J.]
This seems to be correct, that Twitterfeed is not a great thing for the average user. It’s much better to just tweet manually when you post a new blog entry. This is because Twitter is best as a 2-way, personal media. If a piece of software it tweeting for you, then your Twitter account becomes less you, and more a bot.

Checkout how threaded comments work on ChicagoNow (http://www.chicagonow.com/). They are powered by Movable Type and a new jQuery plugin crafted for Movable Type blogs:
