Merry Christmas, everyone

Wherever you are, and whatever holidays you may celebrate this time of year, I wish you great peace and happiness. Thanks for reading & for making it possible for me to do this fascinating, frustrating, often greatly rewarding job.
Oh, and our toddler Finn just walked up and would like you to know:

bvvdddgr xzxgm//jgzzzzzzzzzzzzafhh hmmm/k;/;’\dsamnnnnn .mvbj. wq

I’d like to think he’s working on a highly sophisticated encryption algorithm, but somehow I doubt it. 🙂 (Note to self: Time to fire up AlphaBaby.)
All the best for the rest of ’09 and a great start to 2010,
J.

  1. Dale beat me to it…
Merry Xmas, John (in the antiquarian sense, when ‘X’ was still known to be a literary abbreviation).

  2. I now have several grandchildren who speak the language of child. If you think the children are knockout to be we with, then wait for the grandchildren (bit of a wait in your case but they do arrive quicker than you believe they will!), then grandchildren are the ultimate legal high!
A huge thanks for your blog. Keep it up!
Best Wishes for the New Year. Richard and Sue over in the UK.

  3. God Jul, John! Thanks for all your blogging efforts. I visit your blog every day, and always enjoy and/or learn from your posts — unless it’s about Carbon/Cocoa! 😉

  4. Hope yours was a good Christmas as well. Many thanks for the hard work. Morning coffee would not be the same without your blog.
    Nat.

  5. Hey, Alphababy looks great! I wrote a basic flash app to do something similar when my little ones were waxing destructive. It would show the letter, and play back an MP3 of my voice speaking it. Colors were randomized – never got around to photos of objects. And then, they got older!
They got frustrated when punctuation didn’t do anything. But otherwise, it worked great! Full-screen Flash FTW.
Thanks for your blogging, it’s very much worth reading. Happy holidays!
