Adobe has posted a tech note covering a recently discovered issue, “Adobe CS3 applications crash at launch on Mac OS 10.6.3 if system serial number is greater than 12 characters.” The document lists various workarounds. Meanwhile Adobe is working with Apple to understand the issue and determine a course of action to resolve it.
Great so hear that Adobe works on CS3 apps although CS5 is on the way.
But there is some issue with CS4 apps crashing on quit.
Here’s the threat at the Adobe forums: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2666582
Do you know something about this issue too?
Best regards from Austria

These Christian Louboutin boots-with your little virgin white dress-may style you so pretty a woman, that these boots might pay for themselves. Because, you know, a monk will see you on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and offer to take you to a classy dinner of holy bread and alcohol-free wine that costs about a grand. A five-inch heel in cognac leather that&rsquo,Vuitton Montorgueil that we love;s second-skin up to your knees means these boss Christian Louboutin boots will have you looking like a very Pretty Woman come fall double-oh-seven.
I also have the opposite problem of crashing on quit, it’s been going on for ages for me. Hmm, better check my serial number, maybe the problems are related?
Would this be related to the product activation system? If so, another reason to get rid of that!
@Chris: I think a product activation and registration system is a good thing.
How would you protect software?
It’s not just CS3, PSE 6 is also affected. Won’t start up!
