- You really should see Avanaut’s beautifully executed Star Wars toy photography (seriously!). [Via]
- Photographer (!) Jeff Bridges has produced an interesting, wide-angle True Grit Book.
- Todd McLellan beautifully detonates all manner of devices.
- Atmospheric:
- Check out some beautiful mammatus clouds over Olympic Valley. (Didn’t Steve Miller sing of the mammatus?)
- “This plane photo-bombed a photo of the sun!,” writes Photojojo. “Props to the plane.”
Hahaha! Photographer Bridges and Avanaut’s stuff just made my day.
Great post John!
The Star Wars thing is interesting and very well done. Jeff Bridges is a horrible actor and the remake of True Grit was no less awful (might I add Crazy Horse was equally awful). True Grit is like Star Wars, it’s not that it shouldn’t be remade.. it CAN’T be remade, especially with a puffed-up individual such as Jeff Bridges who shouldn’t compare his “acting” skills to leaves on the ground no less even attempt to compare to the legend that was John Wayne. The “True Grit” photos are meh… no depth… no emotion… just boring, overdone, in focus shots (which pretty much sums up Jeff Bridges too). The Todd McLellan stuff is well done and the atmospheric shots are interesting, but could look sharper with some Photoshop work.
