From Stimuli’s comments on vimeo, it seems this was shot in raw with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II (plus a few shots with an EOS 400D) using a 9-stop neutral filter, color-corrected in post production. They took 13,000 shots; most were taken at 8-second intervals using a 4-second shutter speed. As for post-production, they say, “We imported the raw sequence in After-effects (25fps). For example for one shot we would have one layer for the sky, one for the buildings, etc.. then we merged the layer together using masks and different blending modes. We also did a lot of lens correction to ‘correct’ perspectives.”
