This Quick Look extension sounds useful (sort of like Adobe Bridge being more built into Finder):
- Makes Quick Look Compatible with Graphics Documents (including .ai, .indd, .ase, .fh11)
- Works with Adobe Illustrator Docs Saved with or without PDF Compatibility
- Display Fonts, Images and Swatches used in CS3+ DocumentsÂ
- Reveal Font Files and Linked Image Files in Finder
It’s $25 in the Mac App Store. [Via]
The fact that this product needs to work with .ai files speaks volumes about Adobe having disconnected with its user base.
.ai files never needed a helper app for Quick Look. That is, until CS6 broke the inherent compatibility by layering every single invisible layer in the preview.
Matheau is a genius and you must have his wicked useful tools.
And the price is awesome also 🙂
Has anyone tried both this and Sneak Peek Pro? OOH, it’s the replacement for Sneak Peek Pro from the same folks. I’ve used Sneak Peek Pro for years and have been a happy customer.
But John, I have to ask: Why doesn’t Adobe provide Quicklook and Spotlight plugins directly?
