Two-Minute Papers shows how NVIDIA’s StyleGAN research (which underlies Photoshop’s Smart Portrait Neural Filter) has been evolving, recently being upgraded with Alias-Free GAN (which very nicely reduces funky artifacts—e.g. a “sticky beard” and “boiling” regions (hair, etc.):
