“Well, you didn’t hear it from me, but if you use your Wacom pen to move up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, select the Brush tool, select the Path Select tool, Start — you’ll unlock the secret cow level, get full powerups, and 30 additional pixels.” — Chris Cox, Photoshop engineer

This tip is worthless if it doesn’t unlock “God” mode.
I thought this was how to unlock the “Fix and Enhance” mode used by shows like 24 and CSI.
[That one requires mashing the side of your face into the left-hand side of the keyboard. –J.]
Tried it on a Wacom Cintiq, and nothing happened. But Flash now works wonderfully on my iPad;)
haha.. that’s cool.. maybe people show try this.. you should have said that it makes your photoshop do what you are thinking..haha
I now have a cow tool – wonderful!
Great.
Now you got me curious and I DON’T HAVE A WACOM TABLET.
Thanks.
Chris was just joking of course, the cow level is just a euphemism of herding pixels with the lasso tool.
I can recommend the 30 extra pixels to anyone though, super-tip John!

Just wanted to say thanks for moving the “close tab” buttons to the correct side in Photoshop for Mac!!
Doesn’t the Cow Level refer to the secret level in Diablo1 that was then actually implemented in Diablo2 to reinforce the joke?
John… you made my day (again) i spit water all over my desk when i first read that comment from Chris, and to see it on your blog unexpectidly made me laugh out loud all over again
