Then there are those of use who adopted too early. An early ’90s trip to Europe was recorded with a Canon Xapshot. The photos appear as postage stamps on modern hi-res screens.
Fortunately I wised up and switched back to film for a few years until the digital tech caught up at the turn of the century.
Up until the last few years I was so proud that by the time I graduated high school, I had a 55 gal. drum of empty 35 mm cassettes. Thats how many rolls I had hand processed of plus-x, and tri-x film., and a bunch of 120 and 220 spools, Now kids don’t even know what 120 or plus-x mean. That was only 40 years ago. I don’t know how good all this is. I think it is all for the best, as long as nobody forgets where we all came from.
