Photographers: Moving to mirrorless? Check this out

DSLR doubters, my colleague Brian Matiash is ready to show you a new path:

I’m really excited to announce the release of my very first self-published eBook called Moving to Mirrorless. A little over a year ago, I began my transition of moving away from my dSLR camera equipment and onto the Sony mirrorless ecosystem. When I shared my progress, I got TONS of questions from people who were curious about the process. After spending a great amount of time using this camera system all around the world and in all sorts of environments, I knew it was a great time to share my story. So, I thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to write an eBook about it and give it away for free! 🙂

Here’s the download link.

  1. Excellent and timely for lots of folks. The Facebook Groups that center on work done with the newest Sony and Fuji cameras currently grow in membership by leaps and bounds. It’s my impression that a lot of photographers have this “move to” decision under consideration, but still to make – thanks Brian (and John).

    1. I’m very interested in reading the book. I have considered the move myself but I just love looking through the SLR viewfinder. When I got my first SLR as a young man I walked around for days just focusing the lens on my surroundings. Didn’t take a shot. When I shoot on any system that doesn’t have an optical viewfinder it somehow diminishes the pleasure. That said I sure would like a smaller system. Always the compromise. Thanks for the link!

  2. Seen a few Pros emigrating to Mirrorless of late inc Zack Arias who did it a while ago.
I’m not a pro but problem many of us have is the money we have invested in existing DSLR equipment.
Am impressed by the size of the Fuji T1 – would certainly consider it if starting from scratch – but tad pricey for a second camera in a new system.
