  1. Shouldn’t Adobe team focus more on dealing with bugs in InDesign more that on some migration tutorial?
XPress users will use InDesign for couple hours and then will get back to XPress just because it is not so buggy.
[What problems, specifically, are you seeing? –J.]

  2. It looks like Adobe hasn’t looked at QuarkXPress since version 5 based on some of the comments in this document. They must presume nobody that has upgraded would even look at switching. For several versions now Quark has had better support for PSD files, there Document concept was replaced by Projects years ago. QXP color based transparancy, grids, comp zones, SWF output are just a handful of basic things ID makes difficult or just doesn’t do. Not to mention the absolute disaster of InCopy a 1 line article can have a file size over 5mb which is not an issue if your on the same network but working with remote people using tools to collaborate on content globally, it’s a joke, Quark COpyDesk files can be as much as 80% smaller in file size offering full interaction the ability to even open the QXP files for viewing.

  3. I could use some help in understanding if and how InDesign files can be migrated to PhotoShop….as editable PSD or Tiff files. Any feedback most appreciated!
