Nik plans free plug-in updates for CS5

The folks at Nik Software report that they’re planning to issue free CS5 compatibility updates to their plug-ins:

We are actively working to add 64-bit compatibility to the Macintosh version of our Viveza 2 product and expect to be finished mid-year. Once the update for Viveza 2 is released, we will deliver cross-platform 64-bit versions of our remaining products as they become available.

Please see the Nik site for additional details.

  1. John,
Even better news from the PixelGenius developers.
CS5-compatible plugins are already available, for both for 32- and 64-bit Photoshop on Windows, and for 32-bit Photoshop on Mac.
(No interest to declare–just a user.)

  2. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I bought the Nik Complete Collection last summer, only to discover that 64-bit versions weren’t available.
For the last year or so, their website has promised 64-bit plugins. I’ll believe it when I see it.
