Hey Ramón. How sad the video is “chopping out” on you. 🙁 On the mac both the Flash and the HTML5 player are playing it smoothly. Same thing on the iPad and iPhone. At least down here. I wonder if someone else is experiencing the choppiness.
A bit all too clichéed in terms of the chosen views… Typical “American tourist in Paris” shots, if I may say so. The city has much more to offer than that. Some interesting color effects, though.
Nice pictures, it’s like a dreamy walk in Paris… I have to go to Paris with my darling one of these days…
I’d like to show you an other slideshow, made with one trampoline, a hudnred people, LR3 and Photoshop : http://www.ericburlet.com/archives/2022
and on Vimeo for HD : http://vimeo.com/14215744
Hope you’ll like it!
…a Canon G10 and some RAW processing. No Photoshop
Is that supposed to be a complement somehow?
“Look, I used a tone mapping program other than Photoshop, which you know, is associated with everything that’s not real, and by doing so, I try to add status to my work. You see, that way I won’t get questions like: ‘was the sky really this dark or did you Photoshopped it? ‘
Nah, with that introductory line, you automatically get: ‘wow, no Photoshop, what a great Photographer he must be.”
Gee. How long will it take for people to stop evaluating art for the craft involved in creating the piece instead of what’s right in front of them.
– That photo sucks.
– No it doesn’t, the photographer not only build his own camera, but polished the lenses and even mined the silver halide for his home grown acetate!
– Wow, that’s a lot of work…
…
…
still sucks though.
Hello Heitor (by the name, a fellow Brazilian, maybe?). When I did this video and added “a Canon G10 and some RAW processing” my intention was first, to give information on how it was done and, second, to show how we can achieve some great results using only RAW Processing (in this case, I’ve used ACR). There’s no intention at all to diminish the use of Photoshop by photographers, specially because I use it all the time myself. Therefore, I hope you didn’t get offended with the “no Photoshop” statement. It was just info! Huge fan of digital post processing here.
Rodrigo, great pictures! I mean, everything. Also visited your site and the portfolio on display there is amazing! Weldone. Got me some design ideas though!!
Guess I miss the point of this very choppy video entirely. (?) The only thing it does for me is remind me of how bad Flash is. :~(

But I am on a Mac… :~(
I totally love it. Great mood and pictures.
And by the way: I watched it on an iPad – optimal performance.

I thought it had some great shots, and was well put together.
Beautiful representation of Paris, I love it.
Lovely stroll! Those g series cameras have come a long way. Of course so has ACR!

*lol* Excellent point, considering that RAW processing in itself is an artificial process…
