Watching this in fullscreen, I kept waiting to feel the spray on my cheeks. The Hans Zimmer score that eventually appears is lovely, but I’m struck by how powerfully the opening shots can stand on their own.

It gets better once the music kicks in so we don’t have to listen to the splashy sound effects. That’s the worst thing about David Attentborough documentaries — they dub in a lot of sound that wasn’t really there.
